Kate Rothschild, LMHC, MA
Kate is a grounded psychospiritual therapist and founder of Delightway Counseling, where she helps clients liberate authentic wellbeing. Drawing from a unique background in psychology, holistic practices, clinical therapy, and adaptive learning, Kate offers a brave space for exploration, healing, learning, balancing, and self-development.
As a licensed mental health counselor in NY, Kate supports adults facing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, career issues, substance misuse, existential distress, and psychospiritual imbalance. She specializes in creative collaboration with deep thinkers, artists, LGBTQ+, and spiritual seekers to activate flourishing with a higher level of calm, connection, and fulfilling life experience.
Kate received her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from NYU and B.A. in International Relations focusing on Diplomacy from Brown. She completed her internship at the NYU Center for Psychedelic Medicine where she worked as a therapist on a research study. Her certifications include applied positive psychology, master level reiki, with training in Indigenous herbalism, shamanic practices, meditation, IFS, and multiple modalities of facilitation. In her prior life, Kate worked as an education technology product manager, games producer, and comedy writer/director.
Kate’s empathic, engaging BS-free approach offers the path of least resistance to cultivate clarity, courage, and creative agency to manifest true wellness. Her integrative method — Narrative Existential Humor–enhanced Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (NEH-ACT) — blends evidence-based methods with mindfulness, meaning-making, and therapeutic humor to build resilience and empower clients to turn insight into positive action.
