This is about BS. But it's about more than bullshit

BS Introduction
This is about BS. But it’s about more than bullshit. We’ll be taking a deep dive into the messy topic to examine BS from a broader perspective. This includes BS behavior, emotions, thoughts, feelings, ideas and language. We’ll explore multiple meanings of BS and why the world seems to be full of it. We’ll also cover how to recognize the spectrum of BS from minor to extreme mind fuckery. And we’ll offer some ideas on how BS can actually inspire us to upgrade.
It’s such a massive pile of crap that one post can’t possibly do the trick. Consider this an introduction that prepares us for BS-Free Life. Our journey begins with bullshit but the goal is to go beyond and reach a new level of appreciation for BS in the Game of Life.
What is BS?
BS is a flexible abbreviation that can have many meanings. Some say BS only refers to bullshit language that flagrantly disregards truth which is different from lying. We consider that a bunch of bullshit. Any type of false info is a form of BS. It’s not a value judgment. It’s a way to represent the massive amount of misinfo and disinfo that challenge us on a daily basis. Some say everything is BS. They’re full of it. Others claim that whatever they don’t like is a BS plot. They’re BS artists. Still others insist that it’s impossible to cut the BS and crazy to try. That’s a classic BS con to maintain a biased structure.
But we can bust these shameless shenanigans. We can learn to call BS and break free. First, we need to determine what BS is and why it exists in the Game of Life.
BS has multiple meanings but fundamentally it’s a bluff stunt used to fake-out others. It’s a prank played that alters perception and modifies behavior to achieve self-serving goals. By presenting false information, BS manipulates senses, emotions and thoughts.
Many species use BS deception as a defensive maneuver to avoid fights. This can help players safely navigate through extreme challenges and avoid severe harm. The oldest trick in the book is to “fake it” and many lifeforms use this basic survival ploy in life-threatening situations. When faced with a predator, some animals play dead while others pretend to be deadly. Some act like a different character, camouflage, freeze to feign invisibility or act tough as part of their protective ruse.
Predators also use bogus-self schemes like pretending to be harmless, hiding, sneaking up and surprise attacks. They use tricky tactics like selecting weak targets, diverting and dividing them from the group to avoid fights and conserve energy. Other BS ploys used by various species include resource robberies and mate scams.
Though deception and manipulation are exhibited by animals and plants in the Game, BS is generally a temporary tactic in particular situations. It is either learned in a young, beginner state as a defensive technique to safely achieve simple goals or instinctually selected as needed to overcome challenges.
What happens if BS is used as a long-term strategy?
If BS is selected as a long-term behavior strategy, it causes serious issues individually and collectively. Limited BS can offer protection but extreme BS is destructive and dangerous. Remaining in a battle status of distrust and deception messes with the mind-body. Players get stuck in basic survival mode which is a lower state of functioning. All energy is diverted to dealing with an emergency threat that’s a delusion.
This compromises physical functioning and rational thinking due to automatic redeployment of forces towards averting crisis. It’s an imbalanced, intensely emotional, energized state that is not meant to be sustained for extended periods. Excessive BS can cause stress, illness, isolation, emotional distress, emptiness, stagnation and death.
Most species understand how to quickly shift out of survival mode and return to peaceful grazing, frolicking and enjoying Life with the rest of the group. Both predators and prey deploy BS sparingly then relax while still remaining aware of each other but with mutual respect. They don’t go to extremes, torture or troll for kicks. They don’t constantly fight to one up, prove special superiority and control the world. They prefer to live in peace and freely enjoy existence.
Most species deal with shit, shake it off and return to stable balance. This is the way to thrive. It isn’t a secret. Trillions of lifeforms have figured it out.
Unfortunately, humans haven’t learned the lesson. We struggle with simple ideas that other species instinctually grasp. Particularly one key lesson: perpetual BS is a terrible strategy in the Game of Life.
Extreme BS is bad stuff. It’s toxic, disruptive, inhibits progress and makes Life suck. It’s unnecessary, irrational and causes behavior snafu problems. We end up full of BS and completely confused about how to navigate Life.
Those who follow a BS strategy remain in an immature beginner state as an insecure bogus-self fighting for basic survival against imaginary threats. One can end up being trapped in a past storyline living a lie.
It’s stressful and unsatisfying to exist as a fake character in a false reality competing for meaningless goals. One ends up repeating a negative behavior pattern that alienates others, causes isolation and prevents progress. This severely limits our experience and prevents us from leveling up to advanced existence.
Beginner State
The beginner state of mind is useful to navigate Level 1 Childhood by giving us access to extra help features. These special tools offer filters to prevent overwhelm from TMI, deferred processing for difficult data, and auto-select survival ploys to help young players stay in the Game.
After Level 1, we are meant to mature to intermediate interaction as students with Level 2 awareness. Remaining in BS after the early learning phase can result in closed mindset, limited perception, over-simplified data analysis, impaired communication, backlog of unprocessed memory files, and time traveling to the past instead of playing in the present.
Bogus Self
The bogus self is a character mod used for short-term protection that can take control of a player’s Life when used for long-term gain. Temporary role-playing to feign strength, weakness, invisibility or magnificence can enable a performer to outsmart dangerous predators.
Faking it is the oldest trick in the book but when the stakes are significantly lower and the opponent is imaginary, this is a self-destructive strategy.
Basic Survival
Basic survival mode is a sequence of defensive measures used to stay in the Game. These protective maneuvers are automatically activated when facing a life-threatening situation. Bundled with the Help System, all players have access to survival skills and can develop them further with practice.
Survival conflicts are so important that related lessons are prioritized with strong negative emotion tags attached to ensure memory file storage. When working correctly, these fear and hate tags can help us remember to avoid the same dangerous threats in the future. However, if a player has memory file issues and becomes stuck in survival mode, their perception of threats can be seriously compromised.
Basic survival mode is intended for temporary use in an emergency situation when life is at risk. BS diverts all resources to defense and drains a tremendous amount of operating system energy. It is very unhealthy to remain in persistent survival mode blocks the ability to thrive.
Not only is BS is a legitimate threat to health and safety, it blocks us from fully experiencing and enjoying Life. Maturing to a more sophisticated strategy is the only way to progress to the higher levels of the Game. It’s impossible to freely flourish when one is controlled by chronic BS.
Why is the world full of BS?
The world is full of BS because we allow it to be. We’ve been conditioned to accept extreme BS as the pinnacle of advanced civilization. Rather than recognizing stress and struggle as signs of a broken system, we believe it’s “just a part of life.”
We’re too distracted by fabricated stories to be truly dismayed by the increasing rates of disease and disorder. It’s normal, we’re told. Buy stuff to feel better. Don’t worry about the BS. It’s all under control.
At least that’s what the BS programming informs us. The BS info stream starts when we’re young then reinforced throughout our lives. We’re mistaught to believe false ideas, act fake and fight others because that’s “how to play the game.”
The BS narrative is that we must battle to survive when we’re mostly competing in a lower stakes minigame to win status-power-attention-money (SPAM). This ludicrous game of One Up is supposed to make us happy by achieving an imaginary goal called “success.” Though players ruthlessly compete for it, no one has a clue what “success” means.
It’s a big bamboozle, we call Bogusworld. Bogusworld is an absurd reality with an atmosphere of total BS. And it’s misled by mad controllers (trolls) addicted to SPAM. Since no sensible person would want to be a SPAM junkie in a toxic environment, trolls use all sorts of tricks to promote their idiotic little games and trigger extreme BS.
Kept in constant conflict and manipulated with an engaging stream of outrageous belief systems, we default to a stressed-out cycle of fear-hate-anger-despair. It’s 24/7 BS messaging to influence minds and manipulate behavior. We confuse defending our body from physical attack with protecting our character from perceived insults.
We troll ourselves, each other and the planet. We fake out and pull fast ones because we fear being honest. So busy blaming others for their BS, we ignore our own. Like animals in captivity, we are sick and suffering because we want to be free of the fraud.
So trolls are responsible for this mess?
Blame shifting is BS. We’re all responsible. The human race has an issue with control. From the perspective of other species, all humans are trolls in the Game of Life. Our BS ideas of human supremacy and entitlement cause extensive grief and suffering for other lifeforms. We struggle to follow the Golden Rule of respect.
Though there are some particularly atrocious human trolls who play the role of Game bosses. Like other predators, they can be outwitted. We will discuss how to deal with nasty trolls in future posts.
Why is control considered BS?
It goes against the Golden Rule of balance. All players in the Game have been given one essential rule that establishes us as equally deserving of respect and protects our free will to live. Trying to control others disrespects free will and causes harm which breaks the Rule.
The Golden Rule is another topic we’ll cover in more depth.
How do we recognize BS?
All players have a BS detector to determine if something is a hidden harm. The BS detector is part of our innate Help System to boost the ability to survive and thrive.
We can sense if a predator is targeting us or someone is acting like a predator by staring or stalking or fast talking. We can perceive if information seems suspicious because something is out of sync. When interacting with others, we automatically detect misalignment of language, emotions and actions.
Authentic behavior is consistent and calming. Lies and manipulation trigger defensive reactions like wariness, disgust and annoyance. Signs of the BS detector picking up danger signals can be uneasiness, tension, nervousness, cold chill, suspicion, dizziness and a desire to escape.
Like many things in Life, BS exists on a spectrum. Minor BS such as bullshit stories exaggerated for entertainment are not a major problem. Extreme BS is the real issue.
The problem is that we’ve been trained to dismiss BS detector alerts. That’s why it’s important to trust the gut messages. If something feels off, then it likely is. If it seems too good, weird, horrible or bonkers to be true, it probably is.
The growing sense that something is wrong with our world is a sign that our BS detectors are coming back online. Our challenge is to be aware that some who call BS are actually marketing more BS with a catchy slogan to gain SPAM.
Learning to detect BS is an important part of the DUMP method that we’ll be covering in additional posts.
Is it hopeless because everything is BS?
Hope is always available as part of our Help System to navigate through difficult challenges. Hope is particularly helpful when we get blocked with our own BS and stuck in cynical despair.
Hope is a BS-buster along with humor. Recognizing that there’s a ridiculous amount of BS is part of our amazing adventure. Figuring out how to overcome BS is our challenge. We can either choose to be part of the BS or to move beyond limiting belief systems. It’s much more fun to navigate past it.
Meaningless BS can inspire us to question and search for more. And there is more to Life.
Other species outsmart BS and humans can too. Predators have strengths and weaknesses like all other players in the Game. Life is actually fairer than it may seem. We all face challenges and opportunities along the learning path. Shit happens and boss struggles occur.
But predators aren’t as powerful as they pretend to be. Human and non-human predators frequently fail. They overestimate their ability to catch, control and conquer targets. Their supposedly easy marks can outsmart BS tricks, evade capture and escape.
We already know how to do this. BS-Free Life is a memory prompt to help us recall.
How can BS help us?
Extreme BS is the individual and collective problem we need to solve in order to advance in this amazing learning adventure. BS can help us upskill and upgrade. BS pushes to be better.
It’s a learning prompt. A negative example. An obstacle to overcome. When we encounter BS, we’re being given an opportunity to learn and grow. This boss struggle is a behavior study in bad strategy. Those who use BS as their method of interaction fail miserably. We call them trolls because BS is a basic tactic of control.
The absurdity is that BS is an obvious method of manipulation that we can detect, understand, master and purge. It’s meant to be outrageous to inspire us to be better. We’re supposed to want more than BS. It’s meaningless and leaves us feeling miserable.
When we hack our BS programs, we can enjoy peace rather than stress, respect rather than hate, joy instead of anger and savor Life rather than wallowing in cynical despair.
What is a better than strategy than BS?
We can outwit BS by pulling a switcharoo. Just as bullshit can be dried and used for kindling or construction, other forms of BS can be useful. Something negative can be turned into a positive when we shift perspective.
BS-Free Life is about transforming BS from annoying crap into something useful.
We can outwit trolls and eliminate BS with the DUMP method. The process begins by detecting too much banal stuff. Then we seek to understand how behavior snafus lead to a broken system. This enables us to master the ability to handle the batty situation without blame shifting. When we’re ready to transcend bogus-self control, we can choose a better story and transcend bullshit reality.
The BS-Free Life blob is all about how to take a DUMP and lighten up to a better existence.
